CGR PMPC Goes Solar: A New Milestone in Sustainability

After the successful solar panel installation at CGR Mexico, it's now the turn of the CGR PMPC plant to embrace renewable energy. In September 2024, CGR PMPC completed the installation of 864 photovoltaic panels, covering a total surface area of 1,728 m². This initiative, driven by CGR International’s commitment to sustainability, represents a significant step in reducing the site's environmental impact.

The solar panels will generate approximately 170 MWh of clean energy annually, covering 6-7% of the site's total consumption and cutting CO₂ emissions by 120 tonnes per year. This project aligns with CGR’s broader environmental strategy, which includes ISO14001 certification, biodiversity initiatives like orchards and beekeeping, and enhanced waste sorting systems.

With this 305 k€ investment, CGR International continues to lead the way in integrating eco-friendly solutions into its global operations.
