CGR International further extends its presence in South America with the inauguration of an automated production line for static seat belt cables at its Brazilian subsidiary, CGR Elismol. The process includes cutting, thermal shrinking, assembly, and crimping, as well as a 100 % in-line conformity check.
Seat belt cables are a central element of passive car safety. The new production line will complement CGR’s well-established spring business in Brazil and foster the position of CGR Elismol as a key supplier for the growing automotive industry in the region.
Setting up the new production line was facilitated by a knowledge transfer from CGR’s expertise center in Poland. It is as an example of CGR’s strategy to leverage both its international presence and specific technical expertise to best serve clients around the world.
