Cold forming

Shape forming of metals

Cold forming is CGR's core business. It involves transforming metals below their recrystallisation temperature. The resulting hardening increases the strength of the material. This technique is mainly used when close dimensional tolerances and good surface properties are required, or to specifically increase the strength of materials.

Sheet metal, tubes, wires and cables

Steel, stainless steel and alloys

CGR uses the latest technologies to cold-form tubes, wires, cables and sheets, made from steel, stainless steel or other ferrous or non-ferrous alloys. We form, cut, bend, stamp, spin, punch, roll, press, crimp, weld and assemble a wide range of parts to your specifications. Depending on your requirements, we apply surface functionalisation treatments or heat treatments.

Precision tooling and machining

Made-to-measure

Every cold forming project is unique. Its success depends on reliable and efficient tools. At CGR, we have all the in-house skills needed to develop and build our own cutting, stamping, bending and crimping tools. This means we can guarantee the availability, performance and regular maintenance of the tooling required for consistent quality production.
Thanks to our expertise in robotics and production line automation, we are able to control, process and assemble cold-formed parts directly in an automated production line.
